KINGDOM TEXT XXVIII

KINGDOM TEXT XXVIII

“... make every effort to add to your faith, goodness; knowledge; self-control; perseverance; godliness; mutual affection; and love. If you do your best to enhance these qualities, you will be effective and productive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  (2 Peter 1)

There have been and there will be times when we have faith but our doubts get in the way. It is a tug-a-war, who will win? When this happens we must turn to Jesus who will help us to resist our doubts and to reassure our faith so we can be more than conquerors. In tears, the man said to Jesus, “Lord, I believe but please help my unbelief.” Jesus helped him to remove his unbelief by healing his son.

Set your hearts on Christ and set your minds on heavenly things not earthly things. Your old self has died and your new life is now with Christ in God. When Christ returns then you also will appear with Him in glory. Put to death whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed. Because of these, the Judgement of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must also rid yourselves of anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

Jesus just upgraded your vehicle with a new gas tank and a GPS. If you use unacceptable gas, the engine will not run well. It must be filled with Premium Scripture Gas to take you to glorious places. The Holy Spirit GPS will guide you on the right road to your destination ... God's Kingdom. This upgrade job is guaranteed forever.

I asked Jesus what I could do to improve my mind to be more like His. He said, “Nothing!”. He said I need to get rid of my old mind and ‘transform’ it by replacing it with His Mind. ... 1 Corinthians 2:16: “We have the mind of Christ.”

Ephesians 4:22 “take off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; be made new in the attitude of your minds and put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Matthew 6:31 Do not worry by saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ Unbelievers pursue all of these things ... believe that your Heavenly Father knows that you need these things. Seek first after His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, let tomorrow bring it’s own worries. Each day has enough troubles of its own.

The New Norm: Accepting Christ gives us the choice to live and think like Him. We can use our gift of Faith as a bridge to cross into God’s Kingdom. We learn to focus our hope and trust in our loving God where all goodness and joy originates. We see the invisible, we believe in the incredible, we expect the unexpected, the supernatural becomes our natural way of living. Jesus, thank you for showing us the way, the truth and the life.
John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
